Kevin Hochman is president of the KFC U.S. and interim president of the Pizza Hut U.S. divisions, with more than 10,000 restaurants across the United States and more than $10 billion in retail sales combined.
He took the role leading KFC after serving as the brand’s chief marketing officer since 2014 and his focus on customers, innovation and brand experience, has played a critical role in the brand’s turnaround. Kevin is now responsible for driving overall KFC brand strategy and performance of the business in the U.S., leading the brand’s efforts to retrain restaurant team members and managers, remodel 70% of restaurants, and re-establish KFC as America’s most iconic chicken brand.
In December 2019, Kevin assumed the title of Interim President, Pizza Hut U.S. in addition to his current responsibilities leading KFC, with the vision of returning the brand to being “America’s Favorite Pizza.” Under Kevin’s leadership, Pizza Hut has started a remarkable turnaround with same store sales growing +5% in 2020 with significant improvements in franchisee profitability with a new positioning, innovation and marketing program despite the COVID impact on Pizza Hut’s dining business.
Prior to Yum Brands, Kevin served in several brand management and marketing roles with Procter & Gamble, including North America Cosmetics Business Leader. In November 2015, Forbes recognized Kevin as the #2 Most Influential CMO in the world, in 2016, KFC Marketing was named to Advertising Age’s A-List, and in 2017 & 2018, he was named as one of Nation’s Restaurant News’ Top 50 most powerful people in foodservice and to PR Week’s 2018 Power List which is a testament to the work Kevin and his team have led to make Kentucky Fried Chicken relevant again.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Annenberg School of Communications at University of Pennsylvania.
